I think he was very much in love when he wrote this. Love the instrumentation, lyrics, and harmonization. Love the addition of the string section. Nothing special here, but still good. Walking Away - Beautiful melody coupled with Wade's great voice. 9.5/1012.
You and Me - a bit overrated IMO. 6/107. 9/102. Into the Sun - Again, Wade goes from a crackle in his voice to sounding like most male singers can't - kind of Chris Issac like. Undone - Average by their standards. Sounds like the only filler track on the album.
8/109. I have a feeling their music is going to have staying power with me (and many others). 8.5/10All in all (no pun intended), this and Stanley Climbfall are my favorite works by them. The chorus has a lot of raw emotion in it. Days Go By - Least favorite song on the CD. I also love when Wade exercises his high end. 9/1011. We'll Never Know - Strong opening and verses.
9.5/104. 9/106. 8/103. He can sound grunge-like, but also completely smooth and melodic as well. Also notice the reverse sampling used on the guitar - quite Beatles-esque. For me half the songs are EXCELLENT with it, the other half I don't care for that much.At any rate, Lifehouse is one of my favorite bands, and that says a lot to me since the others are the Beatles and the Doors - and this from a 31 year old Gen-X'er.
Chapter One - Great, great, great. Loses a bit of energy in the chorus, but finishes pretty well. Blind - I'd say one of my favorites but I'll start repeating myself too much. 9/108. I go against the norm in that I don't think No Name Face is their best album comprehensively. Come Back Down - Mellow song, strong and emotional vocals.
The End Has Only Begun - Decent finisher that's nice and relaxing.
Good song, but I just don't feel it as much as the others.
All in All - Great song.
Beautiful song.
It makes me feel a bit melancholy, but in a good (deep) way.
Better Luck Next Time - Great intro riff.
1.
9/105.
9/1010.
Great album. Never heard of them before I saw them on Smallville and certainly not disappointed with the purchase.
All my friends like this group too.we blast it in the car. I bought the CD because of the song but enjoy the whole thing. I recently heard the song You and Me by Lifehouse and absolutely fell in love with it.no pun intended. It is such an incredible song and fun to play on a guitar, by the way. My favorite songs are You and Me, All in All, and Better Luck Next Time.
I have been a fan since their first disc, and the radio airplay of "Hanging by a Moment" exploded on the scene. Here they have branched out into quieter more AC type melodies rather than just cranking out another set of songs exactly like all of their others and in my mind the results were stunning. You can play it for anyone between the age of 15 and 50 and they might not know the name of the song or the band, but they will know the song.and most likely like it as well. This CD, the third from Lifehouse, is one of my very favorites. "You and me" is a gorgeous song.
Jason's voice does wonderful things in this album. I definitely recommend this album. Unlike past albums, this album reveals a softer side of the band, which is not bad at all. The songs are so melodic and although slower than their other songs, they manage to be really catchy.
